Commissioned for the 2010 Olympic games in Vancouver, "The Words Don't Fit The Picture" sits on the corner of Robson and Homer next to the Vancouver Public Library. This thought provoking sign is intended to draw the past and present together emphasizing architecture, urban space and civic histories, including Vancouver’s almost lost past of illuminated commercial signs. Furthermore, the conflicting statement sitting in front of the Romanesque architecture of the library calls the relationship between function and architecture and its historical references into humorous questioning.
