This entire display in the lobby of the Insignia Tower in Seattle was made out of only 8 different shapes that fit together to form a visually striking addition to the décor. Not a single weld or screw is used. To make this possible, we carefully measured each material thickness and programmed the Waterjet to cut to the exact dimension so that the parts locked into each other.
The material used was aluminum. We were very careful to maintain correct grain direction and avoid damage to the material in handling and transit. Once cut, the pieces were placed back into the skeleton so that the artist could sand the parts evenly prior to anodizing.
